Two very good shouts for a penalty turned down.

Pity as started the better. Not sure MacDonald needed to come out for that. Don't think he really had a choice there Rob the scorer was through with defenders nowhere near him. If he hadn't advanced the scorer had time for another touch and an even better scoring chance ⚽️

Can't see a goal in us been a problem for a quite a while. As usual hard work and some good passing but looking pretty toothless. Teams are no longer playing with fear against us now and Hartlepool are a totally different kettle of fish than they were a few months ago and look very dangerous going forward. Desperately missing Nemane, Wright,Cameron and Moxey.

I’d put Waters on for Little and put Randell wide right, Lemon in middle with Asa.

3 at the back with Umerah on for the last 15 if we don’t score soon?

Forecast: Torquay United 3 Hartlepool United 1 ⚽️ Bath 15 Exeter Chiefs 26 🏉 India lots England not so many (may still be a draw 😂) 🏏 RESULTS: Torquay United 0 Hartlepool United 1 Bath 16 Exeter Chiefs 38 India lots England not so many Well my attempt at being Nostradamus turned into a bit of a mixed bag. Who would have believed that the result I got absolutely right would be the cricket? India scored lots 365 and England not so many 340. That does not sound too bad until you delve deeper and find that India scored all of their runs in one innings whilst England accumulated their total score over two innings. I think that means that as well as India winning by 25 runs they also had 10 of their little gates intact so the bottom line is it was a bit of a slaughter. It was looking at being just about bang on with the rugby score too and rugby is of course much more difficult to get an exact score than football. Chiefs buggered me up though as Bath collapsed and Chiefs scored 2 tries in the final 3 minutes. Still not a bad stab at it! The football? Well I guess it was a case of heart over head again! Still the weekend is not a complete disaster Chiefs back into 2nd place...... I am though coming to the conclusion reluctantly on the football front that possibly we may not be good enough! It is the hope that kills you!

Disappointing is a bit of an understatement there Rob. That was awfully painful to watch once again not sure I can continue streaming the home games its just getting too frustrating and predictable now. Think we will be lucky to stay in the play off zone at this rate. Its a worst nightmare scenario after dominating the first half of a season only to press the self destruct button since Xmas. We can try and analyse it all until the cows come home but it would be pretty pointless the Injury situation has done for our season. Maybe we can hang on in there for a play off spot but pretty obvious this group have lost fluency and confidence that they had in abundance when everything they touched seemed to turned to gold. As for the replacements that GJ has brought in none of them have made an impact or are good enough and that includes the latest one Boden though he needs more games I thought he looked pretty ordinary and thought Umerah caused more problems when he replaced him. Along with one or two of our better players struggling for form, CLE and Ben Whitfield who has been marked out of games now with three defenders to contend with at times and no other wide options in the squad. I do feel we have tried to play the same way without key players. Going hard into attack from the start leaving ourselves open again to another sucker punch goal early on and then struggling to threaten the opposition goal for the rest of the game. Our attempts on goal these last few games has been abysmal. How many have we managed to score in open play in the last six or seven games. Says it all once you lose that threat you leave yourself wide open to counter attack and for the opposition to sit back and soak up a powder puff attack. Once Hartlepool got their goal you just knew how the game was going to pan out it was so bloody predictable.
We needed to ride out the injury storm but it looks like were just falling apart and the confidence is just draining away.

Best we can hope for now is probably making the play offs and having everybody fit.

Even if we could sneak into the play offs as we did 30 years ago this squad would get blown apart in League 2, it would need to be completely overhauled and I'm not sure that is possible in the space of the two months between the play offs in June and the beginning of next season in August. And it's not only the squad that needs replacing, this season has come apart due to the inadequacy of our physiotherapy/ medical department and training regime. There is so much to sort out that GJ's best hope must be that Osborne gives him another season to get it right.

GJ as philosophical as ever but as disappointed as the rest of us no doubt. Just got to hope and pray we can rekindle some form from somewhere. Could have done with that game this Tuesday to be fair all week to stew on our problems not sure that's gonna help. No good looking at the other teams and how they're doing now need to get our act together before the season peters out to a sad conclusion after so much promise.

Form went due to injuries and as players come back in they are not going to be firing on all cylinders. We could have Wright and Nemane back by the end of the month and will be a different proposition then so just need to keep in touch at the top as still think we will finish strongly.
