Don’t expect Warren to play 180 minutes in three days at his age. He will replace Moxey when Moxey’ s done his time. If any of the front four go off, it would be Andrews wide left and Whitfield up front / in the hole / wide right if required. Nearly got it all right but instead of Whitfield, CLE popped up (thanks James Durkin for allowing an advantage during the move). Warren was superb during his cameo at the end.

Is Brian Stock related to Alec, isn’t it? Marvellous. ........pullovers for goalposts.

Thought the CLE goal was really well worked from Nemane stealing possession and switching to Whitfield with his low cross delightfully flicked in at the near post. Maybe the goal of the season so far? While I liked CLE’s goal against Yeovil, the winner he scored in this game was really well worked and certainly up there. More important of course and a much easier finish but will need to be watched again as the collective skill to work the ball through a crowded area for Randell to deliver this on a plate was no mean feat.

With all our injuries we have had in the back four it is quite something that we also have one of the best defensive records in the league conceding just 12, joint with Notts County and only Solihull Moors have gone one better with 11 conceded. The difference being we have slotted in 17 more goals than them! However, as we have played 2 more games than County and 4 more than Solihull then it can be argued we do have the best record which goes to show the love our players have for their mums! Funny old game. While teams in the league regularly score one goal against us up until this match only Eastleigh had exceeded this with two goals so how did a bottom of a table side knock three past us? Certainly something for Johnson to look at this week. Their third goal to get the penalty was well worked. Their second had an element of luck as their striker somehow came out of 2 tackles with the ball, not sure if MacDonald could gave done better. Commentary team at the team thought it was a mistake from him but need to look at that again. The first goal was on the counter and again could have done better, the team were possibly a bit gung ho at this point as we were well on top and changed the complexion of the game. It started to feel like Crawley all over again......

Did not realise the stream was still available today so flicked through and watched the goals back. The move for this goal started from a Weymouth free kick delivered into our half where we gained possession out to the left before cheeky one two with Randell and Andrews to get behind their defence. Definitely preferred this goal!

Goodness, 5/6 of those goals were defensive mistakes!
Is Hall’s first name said as a-sa or as-sa? The commentator seemed to like the later! 🧐

Hall being a man and all that, although he does have a ‘Ponytail’ Reg....mmmmm very suspicious Reg. So in answer to your question Reg...I don’t have a fuckin clue! Just one more idea...well, you know what that is already Reg. Thanks for the reply Reg. 🧠

Interesting highlights, that again illustrate the unselfish Whitfield is involved in everything. Let’s keep him fit above all as we head into 2021. Don’t take any notice of newfangled or foreign inspired pronunciations, Reg. I was watching Manchester City a while back, and wondering why Jesus was never getting a mention, until the game neared the break and I realised that ‘Ja-zooce’ was what I should have been listening out for, and that the lad was very much involved in the play besides getting the loaves and fishes prepared for the half time break. There was never any of this too clever by half, twisting of words and saying them differently before we joined the EU. An affectation to sound more European was behind it all I think, and that should be done away with once and for all, by midnight tonight. Reg But a potential minefield of political correctness that so many are wary of stepping into. Someone mentions Asa’s ponytail, another makes a passing remark about Armani’s Alice band, and before you know it a mutual friend of ours will be flagging a potential hate crime. Thankfully more broad minded posters such as yourself, are only too pleased to see modern day footballers keeping in touch with their feminine side …. just as long as it doesn’t extend to their club adopting a pink away kit. Going back to the first Reg’s original query, I’d just advise him to think back to his youth, and remember how Asa Hartford’s christian name was pronounced …. no one turned that into ‘Assa’ in the seventies did they ! And incidentally, old time Asa did have particularly nice hair … I’m sure you’ll agree
