We score with Umerah heading in at point blank range from a Little cross. Nice slow mo replay - impressed with that.

Bloody awful pitch bloody awful stream bloody awful game..
Not sure what that was all about we looked second best for much of the game yet come away with a narrow win.
Plus points: Moxey and Little get match time.
That's it....
Minus points: Not enough room to type...but just a couple of thoughts. Yeovil Town and the chasing pack will be watching with glee. Our second string look like a second string and if we have to rely on one or two coming in for injuries, Buse, Umera etc just not enough quality about them, it doesn't look at all promising. So many misplaced passes and lack of continuity in our play we created nothing except the one goal. Chesham passed better and played the conditions better. I don't think GJ will have been impressed by that performance despite the awful pitch.

Bloody awful pitch bloody awful stream bloody game.. Over now, 1-0 to us but more importantly, no new injuries, good to see Moxey and Little start and 90 minutes in the legs of Umerah and Waters. 😀

Not sure whether or not statistics will confirm this... but it seems like our form dips once pitches get wet and heavy.

Our style is certainly geared up for a better playing surface and something we still have at Plainmoor and many other grounds in the National League but it is going to be very difficult to keep our current rate of progress over the winter months.

... what is clearly number one priority is arriving at Boxing Day with as many players as possible fully match-fit.... We will have some players in need of or at least ready for 90 minutes' play. Some for 60 minutes and some for 30 minutes... Cannot see Little or Moxey playing much more than an hour Mission accomplished as GJ says: “The main thing today was that I was able to give quite a few players the minutes they needed. You look at Armani, it’s great that he’s been able to play an hour. Moxey, it’s great for him to play an hour, and Busey hasn’t had a lot of football, so he got his 90 minutes. Josh and Bill got 90 minutes ~ those people that haven’t played enough minutes yet. We’ve won the game whilst bringing people back, not just from injury. People like Jake, Fraser, Gaz ~ they haven’t played that much football until recently because they were injured for quite a long time. It was good for them to get another game, a result, in preparation for the Christmas games.”Moxey and Little getting the planned time especially important for our future hopes. The result is secondary to that, but none the less welcome. The game was much as you might have expected it be. Was anyone really expecting either a massacre or a classic? All in all, that has gone as well as I could have hoped. Half as good a result as Nico achieved, but then again GJ only had Kyle Cameron and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans to bring on whereas Nico had Sean Finch and Will Hancox.

Glad I went for the stream even if it was patchy to say the least.
My alternative was Buckland v Tavistock and that was postponed due to weather.

Odds on we get drawn to either Darlington or Southport away!

Odds on we get drawn to either Darlington or Southport away! That would be typical! Draw is published at 1pm tomorrow with the next round played on 16 January with no scheduled National League fixtures that day. We do play Solihull Moors at home on Tuesday before this game but so far no midweek fixture after this.

link - statement from Chesham chairman on the live streaming issues. As this is split between the 2 clubs in what is a very difficult season I would hope that fans think very carefully before requesting a refund with midday Monday being the deadline.
