There are a number of accentuating circumstances and GJ admirably didn't once use any excuses for our performance. The fact we had arguably our entire first choice midfield absent through injury and Dickson who hasnt played 90 minutes for god knows how long. Just four on the bench says it all. Was Koszela dragged back from his loan spell. Injured and unavailable were players influential to our success - Evans big miss - Opie Edwards was beginning to show real class and then another bloody injury. Little was just getting into his stride. Hall our most experienced captain. Keating always a good option to ruffle feathers from the bench and sounded like that's what the game needed up top.Little defensive cover with Lewis and Niate both injured. Have I missed anyone?
Still think GJ needs to find a proper partner for JR though sadly Dukku continues to frustrate..

Apologies for a football related post, but what the feck were we doing for their goal? You don't have to apologise for posting a football related post...it is after all a football forum! It is also a diverse and interesting place to post other items of interest! If you wish to stick to the football side of things, and talk of cream and jam, meals at the Dumpling (normally curries it seems) and bets you've had with Jon, everyone is more than happy to read your posts! You might have noticed that I tend to be a bit more...off the beaten track you might say! Which adds (I hope) to the interest that members (and guests) find in this site. I will stick with 'Gendre Fluid' and 'Willies.' Although, I too hope everyone is more than happy reading my posts!  |
