link - 5 months later and it is launched. Nice to see that this organisation is to be independent and on that basis I am sure TUST will be looking forward to working with them for the betterment of the club.

Good Morning, There will be further information coming out next week about the Supporters Club but for now I can confirm that I am no longer employed by the club and that I am the Acting Chairman until the first AGM is held. There are other "Officers" appointed and we will try hard to deliver a good service to the supporters. If you think it appropriate, it would be helpful if the Supporters Club could have a thread on this forum (and the other forums if they agree). I hope this will be successful, the launch went well yesterday. Thank you. Andrew

Hopefully the club will also try to keep TUST's unwanted meddling fingers as far away as poss from the OSC. It's almost creepy the way they try to piggyback on anything club-related, in their attempts to weasel their way in. Different remit, different beast. Nothing wrong in collaborating together where interests align. I also wonder why TUST seem to concern themselves almost exclusively with TUFC matters......it’s uncanny!

Preventative vigilance is always a good thing, but for the moment panic about an outbreak of MILITANT -19 within our new Supporters club shouldn’t cause too much alarm. The Club will be well aware who the main Super Spreaders of MILITANT -19 are likely to be, and will surely already be keeping a cautionary eye out for them. Now while we all remember that Mr.Etherton, Chairman of the Supporters club, turned whistleblower, and made public that ‘interference from TUST’ was one of the reasons all the committee members of the previous Supports Club decided to resign, surely this time we’ll be far more pro-active in guarding against contagion, as there’ll be nothing more off putting to the ordinary fan than to learn there’s been an early outbreak of MILITANT -19 within the new Supporters Club. Lessons need to have been learned. Any attempts to re-write history by the Militants to suggest that it was probably the Russians and not them, will get them nowhere, as well as clearly conflicting with the experience of Mr. Etherton and his committee. While no one is suggesting we can fully rely on TUST to self-isolate, the Club has in recent times taken the important steps necessary to enforce that our Militant friends do observe the necessary isolation for the good of the club. Any Official Supporters Club that dismantled such safeguards, or didn’t perform at least some rudimentary border checks, would be asking for trouble. We all know of cases, where MILITANT -19 was contracted years ago, and the sufferer is still not free from the virus. Let’s take sensible precautions so as not to needlessly jeopardise the sporting and political health of our fanbase.

No. I think Florida genuinely misses the point and Rob's subtle pointing out of the fact went right over his head. In fairness to Florida, he is a long way away from Plainmoor and so can be forgiven for not having a clue what TUST is about and never having met anyone involved. It is the cowardly behaviour of Alpine that is harder to fathom as he takes a perverse pleasure in spending a huge amount of his time in spinning lies and misinformation about TUST. If he genuinely had a point to make, he could meet up with one of TUST's extremely approachable officers at Plainmoor to discuss. But he hides behind a user name on here behaving in such a pathetic vindictive manner. What pleasure he gets out of that I don't know.

Now while we all remember that Mr.Etherton, Chairman of the Supporters club, turned whistleblower, and made public that ‘interference from TUST’ was one of the reasons all the committee members of the previous Supports Club decided to resign This crap from Alpine Joe is really annoying. At least I am giving him some pleasure by being annoyed - probably the highlight of his day. Do not have the time or the inclination to counter this inane repetitive obsessive bullshit. Let's copy and paste from one of the previous occasions when Alpine was spreading his lies. Sad man! All I can find is a weird twitter post from Bob Etherton: The Torquay United Official Supporters Club committee have resigned on block because of lack of support from TUFC, lack of funds and interferance from TUST. We are all gutted because of the hard work that has been put in to get it going but we have choice but to pack it in.So the main reason was lack of support from the football club itself. Ask not what you can do for your football club but what your football club can do for you. Second reason lack of funds.... The funds don't come to you, you have to make an effort to raise them. Or not as the case may be. Not sure what "interferance" is. Is it like interference? I know that after TUST got off their backsides to land the funding for the Fanzones, both TUOSC and TUCST were contacted with a view to a joint initiative to promote the football club in the community. That led to a hugely positive response from TUCST who share TUST's desire to put the football club at the heart of the community. As far as I know, the TUOSC did not even bother to respond. I am quite sure that if they had bothered to tell TUST that they had no interest in the project, nobody would have interfered to try to force them.

Just checking that this is tongue-in-cheek and not serious? Serious. And it’s entirely your right not to consider that you may look rather daft making that assertion, Flo.

And you base this assertion on what, exactly? Not a lot by the looks of it. Top Vacation Villas Supporters Club and some other customers are often at his new workplace, though. Jon perhaps summed it up best on the previous page regarding Flo completely missing the point. There’s literally been years of this nonsense from AJ and Flo on here. Thankfully Andrew Candy, TUST and members of supporter groups generally will have a much more sensible and less divisive approach to the club’s lifeblood.
