So our old friends from last season have got off to an absolute flyer confounding many predictions with 7 wins out of eight including the last six on the trot! Never an easy match there but doubly tough I think. I wonder how many players will start compared to our last fixture from earlier this year? Looking at the LINE UP on the 6th April, 8 of out of the 11 starters were the same as our last match with 2 of the other starters in the last game being Andrews who was on the bench and Little who started for Woking. Woking on the other hand just had Ross, Cook, Gerring and Casey that started both this and the last game and Gerring went off injured after 28 minutes so may not be fit so a completely different team. So much for players being able to gel and bed in with each other. There is a 10 point gap between us and then which is still very retrievable at this end of the season but now would be a good time to reel them in!

You have to give it to Woking for such an exceptional start with seven wins from eight. Quite Incredible and none of us could have predicted them to be topping the table and I would guess even their supporters are surprised. Whether it can be maintained is another matter but they have no doubt improved their squad on a limited budget and brought players in to compete at this level. A ten point gap is big at this stage but can be turned around how we witnessed last season though we are looking a little inconsistent and need a boost of some kind to really kick start our season. Hope we see a positive reaction but we will be in trouble if we perform as we did on Saturday and Woking fans will be baying for blood. GJ has little room for maneuver with such a small squad and cannot honestly see many changes unless he decides he needs to experiment with a few of the periferal players such as Buse Keating and Lewis. Vincent and Duku may also stand a chance of a start. Tomorrow we will find out if its a genuine improvement from the Cards or just a flash in the pan and whether perhaps we have taken a step the other way.

Can’t see many people in pre- season thinking that Woking would be top come the end of August.
Can’t see us getting anything out of the game as I don’t think CLE playing behind Reidy. More muscle needed.
More worrying is that the Woking manger should they finish in the top 7 come end of the season, he will bare his arse in a shop window or the high street.

I wonder what odds you could have got on a top five of Woking, Halifax, Bromley, Maidenhead, Dover.
I would be surprised if any of them are still in the top five come the end of the season, so the field is very much wide open.
My expected top three of Chesterfield, Fylde and Wrexham are all in the bottom half of the table as it stands.
I don't know what to expect from this game at all. Anything could happen.
Our players would love to put one over on them - and I would love to see them do it. Trouble is their players will be desperate to put one over on us. Expect a full-blooded game. It is a shame if Gerring is injured, as he would be another red card waiting to happen.
Just over a year ago, Woking fans were laughing their socks off at us as Gary Owers snapped up their two worst players in Banton and Bawling. This year, they were not so happy as Gary Johnson signed up their best player.
What odds an Armani Little winner?

Whatever tomorrow's result, after that match we will have played against seven of the top nine teams. I'm not sure if that is significant or not so early in the season.

Trying to work out the formation- Evans and Vincent on the wing for a 4-4-2 or up Evans up front with Duku and Reid for 4-3-3 or even 4-3-1-2 with Evans in the hole?

Whitfield replaces him and makes a good impact on his debut. Hall takes a knock now as well. 0-0 halftime. Seems we are unlucky to not be in the lead.

Typical!
We struggle to accommodate both Little and Evans, then they both get injured so have neither.
Andrews on.
