Hopefully this game will go ahead with East Thurrock due to get quite a bit of snow overnight but with nothing more until the match which is forecast to be sunny and about 4°C.
Our previous game against them back in August was just about as good as it got under Owers with a second successive home win to give us seven points out of nine and while the performance was not great we did seem to be grinding out results. Keating was the man of the match that day with a typical lively performance scoring both goals. This would be our second double of the season if we won.
So the team news is that Edwards is out for at least another month and I suspect for longer, Kalala has an outside chance of making this game but suspect he won’t start and more than likely will not be risked. On the positive side we have new loan signing Frankie Vincent from Bournemouth who is likely to be vying with Keating for starting on the right wing and Johnson will know if he is ready or not.
Hopefully Reidy can celebrate his contract extension with a goal or two on the way to another win!

Match Postponed waterlogged pitch.
Shame but Woking will now be making up their two game deficit if their home game makes it when they play again on Tuesday. Oxford City play on Plastic so their game tomorrow should be on.
Best done now rather than wait until the last minute for everyone's sake. Wet milder weather is forecast next week locally and judging by the state of our pitch last weekend I would imagine the game is already in doubt. Would have thought some better more extensive covers would be a good investment as its obvious the drainage problems are as bad as ever.

I'm glad that's happened, because those two games in hand that Woking have, has been pissing me off for ages! Once they're out of the way, we will have a better idea of what's happening!

Not too upsetting...gives the players a rest after busy schedule on heavy pitches. Also gives Vincent time to settle in. Hopefully also gives us time to bring in an extra player or two.

Agreed, will be useful for Vincent to both bed in and for Johnson to assess how he can make the most impact in the side. Also Kalala only had an outside chance of playing this game so should be fit next week for a tough game against an in form Chelmsford.

link - bit more information about the postponement on the Devon live website. Apparently the players got to Sedgemoor services before halting and waiting there for few hours before being told to turn round and then had a gym session afterwards. East Thurrock share their ground with Romford FC who had their midweek game called off. I am beginning to see why the schedule is quite light for this league going towards the tail end of the season with a combination of poorly maintained grounds, a certain amount of ground sharing and of course the wintry weather added into the mix. This postponement does keep my run going of having seen every TUFC match since Christmas though with just the Bath and Truro away games in this period. We catch up on our other postponement a week on Tuesday so no backlog to speak of - yet!

This is the second and final game of Cameron’s suspension but after our first half performance on Saturday I think it will be the same 11 to start.

For those attending tonights game. Please be aware of extensive roadworks coming off the M25 onto the A13 towards East Thurrock due to an ongoing road widening scheme. Also to note the road closures after 9pm which obviously is before the final whistle. google: A13 traffic for details.
The Queen Elizabeth bridge/Dartford crossing is free after 10pm.

Oh Dear 0-1 sleepy tonight. I have been listening to the commentary whilst on dads taxi duties tonight. Looks like the ball has been up in the air a lot and we have been losing those aerial battles. Early substitution with Keating coming onto the wing with Hall dropping back into defence in place of Sendles-White to counter this threat. Kalala on the other wing with Andrew moving inside to central midfield.
