After the festive fixtures it has become apparent that it is a 2 horse race in the National League South so thought it would be worth creating a thread to discuss how they are getting on both now and as the season progresses to its climax.
Like us they are on a fantastic run in the league but also doing well in the FA cup and to this end were able to rest a couple of players for the Hampton game and still run out comfortable 0-3 winners courtesy of a Greg Luer hat trick. They did pick up a serious injury to Kretzschmar, one of their key playmakers who is a doubt for the Watford game and maybe beyond.
Once the Watford game is over they then have a tricky game against Welling next Wednesday and if we can build a 5 point cushion against Slough then points pressure could come into play.

I think this maybe TUFC (s) ('s) (s') greatest ever moment!  I don't mean we're actually going to win anything this season, (we'll probably lose to a last minute goal to Billericay in the play-offs) rather, this could be our greatest ever 'Grabbing Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory' moment! It's possible, that we could win every remaining game this season...yet still not be promoted!  Personally, I have a feeling, that if it weren't for the games in hand and the cup thing this weekend, Woking would actually go up as champions! We see (I don't personally  ) how these extra games and heavy pitches have affected our players. With the possibility of even more postponements (Volcanic Eruption...WW3...Twenty Feet of Snow predicted...end of the World (again) according to The Raptures) happening, towards the end of the season, Woking could be playing 2/3 games a week! Woking manager has said he's not looking at the cup, he's intent on Welling! Try telling that to his players though, it's their moment of fame, and they'll be busting a gut (or the odd leg) to stamp (no pun intended) their mark (ditto) on that game! Don't forget, Premiershite managers always put out their Z team against the Minnows, and invariably come unstuck...worth a punt!  |

Woking have completed two loan signings to bolster their title push - Armani Little and Harvey Bradbury have joined until the end of the season from Oxford United.

Woking have completed two loan signings to bolster their title push - Armani Little and Harvey Bradbury have joined until the end of the season from Oxford United. Yep, read they have earned about 500k from their cup run so have plenty of cash to flash. We were the better team in our FA cup encounter but suspect their quality and depth of squad has improved since then. Torquay and Woking both deserve to be promoted this season but doesn’t always work out that way..... |

Both were previously loanees there and will hit the ground running. Goalscorer (Bradbury) and a centre mid. Jamar Loza loan also extended by another month. Some good business by the Cards today.

After tomorrow only 17 games left for us until the end of April so as long as we don’t pick up more than a couple of injuries then depth shouldn’t make too much difference. It is going to be really tight and should make for an exciting finale to the season. |

I expect us to make some moves which will (hopefully) improve our squad in the next couple of weeks. Kretzschmar is out for Woking (hamstring so may be a few weeks) which is a big loss for them. |
