Goodness, I’ve had shorter sex sessions than it did to make that arrest...if indeed an arrest was finally made!
I might have mentioned that I once tried to join the Met. Foolishly I mentioned that I had been in the Rhodesian Army and what I had learnt there would be perfect for the streets of London. Of course I was turned down, little knowing that my timing was a bit off, because today that is exactly what is needed...the Army on the streets of London!
What a plonker that cop is. Totally read that situation wrong...plonker! 😒

What a plonker that cop is. Totally read that situation wrong...plonker! 😒 Although it is massive stereotyping it is a fairly typical scouse attitude they have never done anything wrong. A genuine decent person would have just politely explained to the police officer the reason he was exempt from wearing a mask and that would have been it. This was a set up, and I didn't have to see that it was posted by Anti-Lockdown @ Stop Complying to recognise that. I am getting somewhat annoyed about the number of such deliberate set ups there are mostly on Facebook (I suspect twitter too though don't do that one) from right across the world, although the pleasing thing is the police officers normally come over as calm and professional and the person doing the setting up comes over as being a complete tw*t! If everybody in the human race was a calm and polite person it would not cost small sports clubs a fortune for stewarding! Target their phones! Smash it (accidentally) then calmly arrest them. The law should also be changed so that the police can take people straight to prison as there are too many lefties in the DPP / CPS so justice will never be served with them around. Mind you being an ineffective DPP seems a good route if you have political ambitions!

Filming of police incidents on phones should be banned. The world wide chaos caused by BLM is a direct consequence of busy bodies filming these incidents, why don't they offer assistance to the police instead of acting as judge and jury.

That footage is both shocking and frightening. Morons like that, hiding behind the excuse of restriction of his civil liberty, will cause the virus to be active for many more months, if not years. Set up or not, I have seen people like that causing problems in local shops, and their ignorance is staggering.
That said, the transport police officer made a total hash of it. He should have simply stopped the train and called the "real" police, however long that might have taken, so that a properly organised arrest would have taken place, instead of that unsightly brawl.

I agree Stewart that the constable should have called for assistance in order that the miscreant could be removed from the train quickly and efficiently. He would not need to stop the train though in order to do so as throughout the video the train is stationary at a station. He should though have summoned other British Transport Police officers to assist him. The only other thing I would add is that British Transport Police are "real" police. They are recruited and trained in the same way as officers in other forces and they have the same powers. Whilst their jurisdiction is generally within the railway network and certain other transport links, they do have powers to act outside of that jurisdiction.....not that that matters in this case of course as the incident is clearly within their jurisdiction.

Has it occurred to you that the video may be a complete fake, including the copper. Like you say any half reasonable member of the public (and I'm sure such creatures can be found in Merseyside) would tell the copper that they are exempt and the copper would know there are exemptions. The way the copper reacts and the manner in which he tries to arrest the passenger makes me think he is actually an impersonator, its completely shambolic. Also the video camera seems to held quite still, so I suspect the whole thing is a fake.

Yes it did occur to me Plainmoorpete but I don't know so cannot give a definitive answer. The poster name raises immediate suspicions. They do look to actually be there though and it does look like a train at a platform. Doesn't mean it isn't fake though. If you find out let me know 😉

If those two are acting, they’re nailed-on for Oscars this year. 🧐

Alpine Joe posted it so amongst his many talents he probably directed the whole thing! 😉

Just to clarify of course although Alpine Joe may well have had a hand in the directing of this video, it was not his user name that raised any suspicion....it was the original poster Anti-Lockdown@StopComplying 😉
