How does anyone become an ex murderer ? Good question. I'm going to have to lie down in a dark room to ponder on said question...it might take a while.

Part One: I'm looking for a bit of help here, so Remoaners can look away now. Also, Remoaners are obviously very busy at the moment concentrating on the plans for all the new huts that will be built in Golders Green should Corbett get into power! 'Ashes to Ashes'...no I'm not thinking about Rob...I mean the series. I watched the excellent Life on Mars many years ago, but when Ashes to Ashes came out, I thought it was going to be just a crappy follow on...I was wrong! I've recently started watching it on I player, and it's brilliant...that Keeley Hawes...my hand so much wants to reach down and sha8 her, but that would spoil the magic! My question is: when D.I. Drake get's grabbed by Layton and shot in the head...who the bloody hell is he talking to on the phone? (Hope that emoji doesn't offend anyone)

If you'd stopped to ask yourself the likely average age of the TFF membership first, you could have saved yourself the bother of asking this pointless question, Reg ( 'ooh arr me hearties, yes he could' ) If it's not being shown on UK Gold or Talking Pictures, then TFF members are unlikely to be watching it ....those programmes you refer to sound far too contemporary to hold much interest. Now if you'd taken us back to the days when George Layton appeared in The Sweeney (1975) or Minder (1979) several of us might have recalled him interrupting a phone call, and who was on the other end .... but his recent stuff ? .... haven't a clue. Take a leaf out of my book, and cater for the many, not the few (copyright JC4PM) This is more like it ... Waterman and Layton together in Spain recently, reminiscing happily about the old times.

Congratulations to 'The Guardian' which has been voted Newspaper Of The Year for the 7th Year running by the FSA. The FSA who boast that 'We are the leading advocates for supporter ownership' must be as shocked and surprised as the rest of us that 'The Guardian' proved to be so popular

It may have been a close run thing with The Observer, AJ. On a separate note. I wonder how much Serie A paid a marketing agency for their ‘No to Racism’ campaign at the link below. Quite astonishing. What an earth were these idiots thinking!! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50814275

Well I live permanently outside the box, and how they got away with that no to racism campaign, is beyond me, as you say...quite astonishing.

1984.
I remember reading the book when I was a youngster, probably at school. The teacher would have explained what we were supposed to understand from it, which of course was what he/she understood from it. There would have been a loud 'Whoosh' sound above my head when the lesson was finished...some members of the TFF will still experience that now. I had other things on my mind, trying to get my hands on Gail Lang's tits the utmost priority...hope nobody married her!
1984 was written in 1949. What an incredible insight Orwell must have had...and how uncannily accurate time wise.
For those of you who don't know, or have forgotten:
1984, is set in a Dystopian Britain, which is part of Oceania. Britain seems to be some sort of a landing strip for the rest of Oceania, and the people of Britain worship Big Brother...who may or may not exist!
So lets look at today: Dystopian Britain = correct. Part of Oceania (EU) = correct. Landing strip for the rest of Oceania (EU) ...multiple millions of immigrants have landed here from the (EU) = correct. People of Britain worshiping Big Brother...substitute for Big Sister (Gretna). Millions of mindless people worshiping a Petulant, Pre-Pubescent Schoolgirl = correct.
Well done George, even 70 years ago you could understand what some people living today haven't got a clue about.

I can see that the floodlights at Plainmoor have been on for a couple of hours plus. They must be having a good look at that pitch . With plenty of rain forecast for the next 48 hours in the bay lets hope that drainage can do its job !
