For the very first time in all the years I have supported the club (since 1954), I find myself believing that we are going to win the next match, and the next, and the next, and so on, in fact I now believe that we can win every match as long as the Bristol City lads are with us.
It's a very surreal feeling which I never experienced in the Fifties or Sixties, when Sam Collins and Robin Stubbs were scoring at will. I know that we are at the lowest level at which the club has ever found itself, but to have a manager of the caliber of Gary Johnson is also something which, relatively speaking, we have rarely previously enjoyed.
Long may it continue, and let us hope that he will remain true to his words in saying that his ambition is to get us back into the Football League.

Quite surreal really but when you see games like that against Concord then you can see we are better than the better teams in this league. 10 league games under Johnson with 7 wins and 3 draws which is an amazing turnaround, we could have won all of them - a goal up against WSM with a few minutes to go, Woking were blitzed in the second half and Billericay could have been dead and buried if we had taken that very good chance early in the second half. Where things do not go our way early on then the full time fitness is coming into play to win games later on and after years of seemingly losing games in the last 10 minutes feels a bit like pay back time.
Just need to keep focused and ruthlessly keep on winning and open up a gap at the top a bit like Aldershot in the 2007/08 season

Just listened to the Boss on TalkSport. He mentioned that he took the job on just to help us out a bit! Hopefully he will not get bored in the nether regions, and like Stewart says...get us back in the FL! Hawksbee and Jackobs asked if he would be getting any new players in during the January transfer window! They will know the last time the Centre Forward for Man U (who ever he is) took a dump...but not that we don't have a transfer window at this level of football...sad!

I was thinking exactly the same thing. They get paid for knowing very little...can I have a job there please ! Then again how long did it take Dave Thomas and all of those knowledgeable chaps at the Herald to realise the same thing !!!

If you intend to stay on this site and use sarcasm, you might want to buy a Crash Helmet...I've got a shed full of them!

For the very first time in all the years I have supported the club (since 1954), I find myself believing that we are going to win the next match, and the next, and the next, and so on I know what you mean. We won't win every game of course, but feeling that you can win every game means that you don't have any "must win" games. That in turn takes the pressure off. Billericay and Woking felt like "must wins" at the time as we were playing catch-up, but we did not win and caught up anyway. Welling is a very important game and a "six pointer" but I don't feel the pressure that we "must win". Confidence and self-belief are wonderful things.

Opening news on the OS about our 2 - 0 win against Dartford but no mention of whether Truro have vacated Plainmoor to go south over the Bridge.
Have I been a sleep?
