A first ever meeting with Lymington.
On BBC red button, Freeview 601, Sky 980 from 12.15 to 2.30. Ruairi's uncle is on the red button before.
Certainly a more buoyant mood around the place with the overbearing negativity that Owers so effortlessly generated now suddenly removed.
We must be on our game to ensure against a cockup, but now approach this game with hope rather than fear.
No news of Dickson.
Niate could be fit enough to replace Wynter with Essuman swapping to right-centre-back.
I would expect the two new signings to be on the bench. Shame we can't give them 90 competitive minutes in the Devon Bowl next week to get them ready for league action.

It would be nice to actually have some sort of run in the FA Cup and to get to the first round proper again. Much has been said about Martin Ling being the last person to get a win in this competition seven years ago but you have to go back to the buckle era when we actually strung a few games together to get to the third and fourth rounds respectively and to some extent managed to offset much of the spending deficit at this time. Just a pity we couldn’t win that Crawley match.
The change in the mood music around the club shows why managers are changed in football as regularly as they are and in our case a decisive and inspirational appointment has been made as opposed to the last appointment where the opportunity there was lost to our cost. With extra competition for places and the desire to impress I think we will at least do enough to win today.
My son is coaching gymnastics until 12:45 so will be watching the game on a 20 minute lag, at least in the first half....

Goodness...I'm actually getting butterflies, it's been a long time since that's happened on FA cup day! Strangely enough, I was at our last cup victory...chesterfield! Was it really that long ago? Mrs Register has got me hoovering the stairs in a minute! It's a good job I'm 'Gender Fluid!'

Enjoying the one camera, no replays. Makes it feel more like being at the game.
Commentators good, but why do they have to read out inane comments off Twitter?
Ridiculous that they were reading out some nonsense rather than describing the build-up to Reid’s goal.
We seemed to start a 3-5-2 but soon morphed into a 4-4-2 with Edwards getting forward more than Davis and Andrews drifting out left to find space.
Really like Andrews - real quality. Reminds me a bit of Jason Fowler as a floaty left sided midfield. That is high praise indeed.

Record score in the FA Cup, surpassing the 7-1 against Northampton Town in 1959 (Larry Baxter's match).

A thoroughly enjoyable watch but lets not forget the standard of opposition. Would have been happy with a 0-3 but seven is a bonus and will do the players confidence the world of good. Great to see us press and play for the full ninety minutes plus stoppage time, thats been missing. A thoroughly professional performance with every player looking for and wanting the ball - just what I expect to see with GJ now in charge.
Some very good performances out there, we looked better than NLS today lets hope we can build some real momentum off of the back of this.
