So a new chapter of the club starts here with a winnable game where the existing players will be looking to impress the manager. Johnson may be aided by the return of players from injury but hopefully will set up the team better and play to the individual strengths within a coherent structure where we are more of a goal threat (cannot be worse!)
Have a good feeling today COYY

I hope (and I'm sure he will) that Johnson changes the 'Owers' formation.

I'm not expecting and immediate change of fortunes but it will come I'm sure. Mr Johnson will need more than three days to work his magic and asses what he's inherited.
What I do know is we will get today is plenty of effort with every player looking to impress and it wouldn't surprise me if we score a few goals today. The "Dead Cat Bounce" scenario usually comes into play but lets just hope the "bounce" is a bloody long and sustained one.

So, the sun rises on another great chapter of TUFC! If you look across the sites, you will see that people are as happy as a very happy person that teaches happiness at Oxford university! That doesn't apply to one site of course...there, the main thread is about whether poor old Nico is to blame for the Brexit result!
In GJ we have a manager with more success and qualifications than we've had since Olaf the Hairy!
He has though, inherited a bunch of misfits that are about as useful as a thingy at a lesbians wedding!
When the sun sets tonight, we will have a better idea, if the sun is actually rising for us!

Interesting times and who thought somebody was going to say that again, getting to know you todays game is too a degree. Now we will find out if it was the owers factor or players not good enough factor or a combination of both.If this team still plays today like it has been playing heads are gonna roll.

We were the superior side from start to finish today. Hall and Andrews ran the show from midfield throughout and Reid and Keating worked tirelessly, Reid particularly impressing up front.
2 goals, hit the post and the woodwork, a clinical finish from Williams chalked off and a couple of decent point blank saves from their ‘keeper. And Gary Johnson got a Tiger Moth fly past before the game.
My out of 10 ratings. Bass 6 Not tested often. Comes off his line to gather well. One flappy incident second half. Generally assured. Wynter 6 Alright Cameron 8 Quality Essuman 6 Alright Davis 7 Quality Hall 8.5 Bossed the game Andrews 8.5 Season long please Edwards 6 Raw. Link up play good. Gets in right places. No left foot. Rabbit in headlights in front of goal. Reid 8 Busy and decent all game. Keating 7 Busy and alright. A nuisance.
All three subs looked lively when they came on, although Banton took a few minutes to get on the pace. Williams lovely finish chalked off. Wright needs to lose weight, but showed a few decent touches.
