Has Keating done enough to deserve a start alongside Williams? Yes. I would happily take another scratchy 1-0 win. 2-0 even better, but scratchy it was. East Thurrock only arrived half an hour or so before kick off and gifted us an open goal in the first few minutes which Williams did not convert. Keating ran his socks off. First one was a defensive cockup, but Keating got his reward for chasing a lost cause. Good header from an excellent Davis cross for the second. Still not firing properly but seven points and three clean sheets is not to be sniffed at. Surprised to see Hall drop in to the back three to replace the injured Sokolik. Three injured centre-backs now - Essuman, Sokolik and Gowling(!!!). Could do with one of them being fit for Tuesday. Started with the eleven that finished the Bath game. Regis came on and took Hall's place in midfield. Reid came on to give Keating a well-deserved rest and standing ovation. Banton came on into "the hole" with Nabi dropping back to replace Regis and Regis going up front to replace Williams for the last few minutes. |

I've often wondered how awful it must be to support Celtic! Knowing that you are going to win 99.99% of all the matches you play, 99.99% of all the cup competitions you enter! How do you raise a cheer when you've won the league and cup double for the last twenty years...yawn!  To that end, I hope that Owers decides to mix it up a bit and throws a few loses and draws into this seasons campaign, other than trying to win every game...it would be tedious if we were to be promoted before the turn of the year!  Goodness, I thought the manager would have waited a little while longer before he acted on my post! Only 'Professional' team...lots more 'Stamina!' That myth has just gone down the shitter! Is it just that we're a crap team, or is there something deeper...  |
