Just a thought but maybe time to set up a dedicated live FB link to games perhaps and anyone can give commentary or summary every few minutes through there phones. I would think it would be easy enough and you may find someone who would love to do a commentary who attend most games home and away. Imagine no bloody dour DT commentary!

Updating the match thread on here with salient points is an option as well!

Mervo used to run some kind of internet commentary back in the early days of the original TUFC forum. Must be much easier to do now - but still way beyond my technical capabilities.

It was in response to the usual AJ rehashed twaddle. Fingers crossed.

Floridagull I suspect it might be allowable if it was being provided exclusively to the American market, Florida, which would suit you just fine. Although, perhaps it's through not having to sit through whole matches that's enabled you to maintain your interest But, as far as I know, showing any 3pm kick off league game in Britain is not allowed, whether it be by television or a streaming arrangement. Man Utd, already able to sell out Old Trafford many times over for home games, would surely be cashing in via a streaming service of their own if it was permitted. I'm not certain about MUTV, but rather think that they are restricted to showing old matches only, and no live games. Much as I hope to attend most home games, I'll gladly pay the £20, partly to spite the BBC. This is additional work the club could have done without, just when the extra workload of having another club operating out of Plainmoor has to be catered for. I sincerely hope that no BBC staff are going to be allowed inside Plainmoor to send out half time and full time reports. They've made life difficult for us, so accommodating them should be the last thing we'd now agree to. But back to the crux of your point Florida, and seeing the game is vastly superior to listening to someone chat about it. Not being able to see any of the play, would listeners at home have been remarking on how much less enjoyable the League below is? No of course they wouldn't, they'd just hope to hear that there was more attacking play and more goals coming from the Torquay team than from the opposition. And after 4 or 5 consecutive seasons of relative failure, the almost guaranteed 'more winning football' we'll witness from our team in the NLS would have increased Radio Devon's listenership, as I'm sure they were always well aware. 'Oh but it's all to do with what league you're in, nothing to do with the numbers that want to listen'. It's total poppycock isn't it ! It seems that if Torquay Croquet Club get promoted to the Croquet Premier League, then Radio Devon will provide live commentary on the basis that it's a high league in that sport.....and the fact that no one gives a damn or has the slightest interest in listening wouldn't be a relevant factor in deciding it was getting coverage every week. The BBC really are despicable. I think most of us are only too well aware of what motivates them. Well done everyone who did everything they could to get their strong annoyance, frustration and condemnation at their decision made clear to the corporation. And to those that didn't.....we know who you are.
