The weekly arsewipe didnt hang around with this news then quick when it suits em Yes, very quick to try and scotch this. Harrop saying ‘not as far as I’m aware/Osborne hasn’t said anything’ sounds like he doesn’t hear from him from one week to the next. It’s not a ‘denial’ as the headline claims.

I think before we all get carried away, we should bare in mind that the other forums and Dave Floyd in particular were convinced that Kevin Nicholson was nailed on for the Halifax job a few weeks ago.

Sadly it would seem to be fake news and that leech CO appears to be staying no doubt to feather the vulcher’s nest!

Too good to be true unfortunately just like the prospect of us winning the next four or five games. Looks like Dave, aka Southampton Gull was set up good and proper - to what end or reason who knows. Fake news everywhere these days I blame Putin!!

I love how Osborne describe himself as a fan of football when he doesn’t even come to watch his own club!

I love how Osborne describe himself as a fan of football when he doesn’t even come to watch his own club! Fan of football is a new item on the spin table. He used to claim he wasn’t. I wonder who his friend was. Maybe Radio Devon has given him the bug in his Plainmoor absence. However, he would have been listening to Radio London commentary. Something most avid listeners clocked. I see ‘Academy’ retains its place on the spin table after its first TUFC showing in January 2018. Long since discarded at Swindon. Maybe just the one Academy promise at a time is the rule? ‘Council alignment’ now revised downward to ‘background work’ on Stadia 2020. No mention of 2020, though. The talk of staying full time remains a consistant. No ‘one season only’ mention this time, so perhaps he now believes we’ll stay up next season if relegated this? The case for Stadia 2020 when part time at a level lower than we have ever been since election to the Football League might be a tricky spin, but not impossible. Not that his track record is one of delivery on new stadia promises. As we know. Fake news all ‘round. Or is it?

Some of us need that explained more fully Rob. Can the two really be that closely intertwined for one to be a downgrade of the other ?
Remembering that the alignment was with nothing more tangible than a 'vision', why should this investment in background work impact either way, but particularly negatively ? I'd be reluctant to conclude that this investment in unspecific background work has adversely affected any of the Council members previously help views, or that they are particularly aware of it, let alone negatively affected. It reads more as separate information regarding what the club is doing rather than a revision relating to the Council.

Oh dear . It's evident that Clarke Osborne's statement packed with positive news, not least concerning our full time status, irrespective of League, has caught the Militants on the hop to the extent that their immediate attempts to scrabble around for some negatives to throw out has produced some very weak and pitiful attempts. Even if you refused to accept that investment in the necessary background work was a natural progression from an initial vision, any attempts to deny they couldn't exist and proceed in tandem were always bound to spark questions that you'd then find yourself having to dodge entirely . And to think it comes hard on the heels of the local media rightfully pointing out that it was they who had to be the one's doing the donkey work to clear up the Fake News attributed to anonymous sources in some places, and gleefully spread by leading Militants to others. Whether they hold a prominent position within Her Majesty's opposition in the House of Commons, or are chief propagandists for a local 'Supporters' organisation nearer home, none of our favourite Militants have covered themselves in glory over recent days.

Suppose it depends upon whether CO’s words are taken as the truth or thought to be (to say the least) patronising. Given his track record I suspect some will not be convinced by his latest utterances.
