I wanted to wait for AJ to answer for himself. Which he has now done in his own particular fashion.
Here’s my take.....
Stewart - AJ is a real person. He doesn’t believe the pseudo political drivel he trots out about imaginary militants, so I’m reasonably sure nobody else does. I tend to agree, if he truly held some of those views he may indeed be delusionary and, as you say, need help.
The facade occasionally slips and centre-left leaning tendencies appear, so I think both aussie’s ‘Hitler’s love-child’ observation and another poster on torquayfans.com questioning if he is ill are both wide of the mark. Albeit, such references can cause him to rev up the nonsense.
He previously regarded Chris Roberts as a good owner and now says he regards Osborne similarly and ignores all evidence to the contrary when putting forward his view. Reference to this may also lead to a bit more ‘acting up’ and occasionally, denial.
Admin wrote that banner regarding parody as they cottoned on to his preferred ‘wind up’ and excessive parodying of what Pete describes above as ‘right-wing nut-job’.
You are not alone in finding some of what he posts bizarre, but it’s often inoffensive as others have commented. If you see him overly praise our malevolent owner or refer to those imaginary militants, he is most likely writing something you’d rather scroll past is my guess. He doesn’t even believe it himself, occasional bits are amusing, but it’s clearly not everyone’s taste.
I hope Chelston returns.

What you have said was really all I was asking for, particularly in regard to the source of the "banner". In future I shall simply scroll past his rubbish. I'm sure that Chelston will not go away, as he enjoys changing his avatars too much for that.

Fed up to the back teeth with all this lefty, Corbanista, King Kev bollocks. When Chelston - universally acclaimed as a benchmark of tolerance and decency and an arbiter of good taste - is fed up to the back teeth with something, it is fairly conclusive proof that the horse has been flogged way beyond the point of death. Past the point of being butchered and made into Tesco burgers. So do I. I will try to talk him round this afternoon.

I am intrigued by this person Alpine Joe. Does he actually exist? At the head of the home page, someone has said that he is a parody and that people should laugh at the ridiculous comedy character he has created. Has one of the administrators said that, and if so why does he/she allow such nonsense to be posted? Who is this person, who persists in talking about hard left militants, leftist agitators, London left paymasters, socialist wreckage and a communist cake stall in London? What the hell has any of that to do with the plight in which the club now finds itself? He has even expressed these comments on a thread about new strikers! All of his lengthy and cringe worthy posts remind me of the outbursts of Comical Ali during the Iraq War. I'm sorry if I come across as someone who is totally out of the loop as far as current gossip is concerned, but I would welcome being told the truth about why this person's views are not met with the derision which they deserve. I think that answers your question of "Really?!" in a recent post on another thread Stewart.

I think that answers your question of "Really?!" in a recent post on another thread Stewart. Ha, ha, very clever of you to resurrect these comments after the best part of two years. Actually, at the time I was prompted to make those comments after reading his outrageous assertions that football clubs in this country were being threatened by hard left militants, and similar statements. However, Rob's comments on 10 January 2018 made me think long and hard, and my opinion of Alpine has gradually mellowed in the meantime. Seeing this thread again has made me realise that I owe him an apology for casting doubt on his sanity or integrity. Perhaps distracted by Brexit, he seems to have largely watered down the volume of his views on the "militant threat", and I am pleased to note that our views on the nonsense propagated by the remainers are not that far apart (I think!)
