Alpine Joe likes that. Maybe we should all readjust our expectations similarly and offer polite applause when they next choose to speak. I'm sure they will soon. Surely.
I am struggling to see how we will now get out of the bottom four again if we fail to beat Guiseley at the weekend.
Got Leroy's autobiography today. A reminder of happier times for TUFC. So far a very good read.
Without another decent striker coming in, we will be down....
Might or might not be enough but also highly unlikely - decent strikers don't grow on trees especially this time of year. In any case the quality of this squad as a whole is so poor we are where we are on merit and fully deserve whatever fate lies ahead. The Nicholson ethic off believing he can make good competitive footballers from dross with hard work and coaching is blatantly not working. Even poor sides have something of merit but everywhere I look in this squad says poor to average. Just where will the goals come from this time around with virtually no threat coming from midfield and only Williams capable of accepting and taking a chance.
We have been so starved of talent over recent seasons some of us convince ourselves that we actually do have some good footballers. The process of accepting and convincing yourself of what a good footballer actually looks like over a long period of time, season after season is a gradual one, we are on occasion reminded what talent actually looks like. If Raccine had stayed fit, If Moore had signed etc etc there may have been a chance but I can see no escape now and we will be dragged down to the league below. And who's to say it will even stop there? Once you accept average or worse you are doomed in this game.
