After an exceptional match on boxing day the return fixture is upon us straight away! We will be without Gallifuoco with Paul Rooney likely to step into the breach. Asking a lot to do the double over this well financed and talented side but why not?

rjdgull That certainly would be asking a lot. Going into the Boxing Day fixture, if we'd held FGR to a draw, and travelled up to The New Lawn and also come home with a point, most of us would be more than satisfied with the collective 2 points against this very good FGR side who are pushing for promotion. To already be assured of finishing this mini set of fixtures with a guaranteed minimum of 3 points is very pleasing, and will hopefully be borne in mind should we come off second best this afternoon. Jon refers to FGR playing with five attackers in the latter stages of the Boxing Day game. And it has to be a fear that they've calculated that a 'caution to the winds' approach of all out attack against us would prove they have better finishers in their team than we do in ours. But really New Years Day should demand some optimism from everyone, so at 3pm I won't dwell on possible reasons 'why not ?', but will join rjdgull in hoping, and asking for a lot from our players  . |

Blissett does not play - replaced by Reid. Looks like he is off imminently then. Nothing about this in the club preview yesterday but wouldn't be until it is finalised. |

'Three attempts on target, three goals' according to Dave Thomas. So not much wrong with our finishing in that first half it seems.
Also interesting viewing for Brett Williams from the bench, as he'll see the standards required if he's hoping to reclaim a shirt for the starting eleven.
