An interesting article on the BBC website. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35403652Kevin, you cannot be serious! So far this season, Torquay has only won two league games at Plainmoor, and only ONE under your leadership! At present, Plainmoor is a buffet service for all visiting teams.

How many seasons does he expect it will take to get the 8 wins?

Treating the fans as if there totally frigging stupid, even in his tiny little dreamworld we aren't going to manage that, insulting the intelligence of the fans with that stupid comment.Saying that there are still believers that we will get out of this, not with this numpty and squad of mis-fits we won't,I don't see us getting more than mid forties points anyway, relegated yet again!!!by inept board decisions kn129 the man who ticked all the right boxes yeh course he did. They better get his sorry arse out of the hot seat pronto or another relegation will beckon, that he is more than capable of without doubt

"We’ll be written off by most people going into the game"

Well, just goes to show that nobody could have predicted the turnaround in fortunes at the end of January. We literally have gone from bottom of the league form to championship form, at least results wise which is some momentum shift. With the confidence gained from this run, it is a great opportunity to maintain National League status

There will be loads of Torquay fans very happy to eat their words if we escape relegation....myself included. Its certainly great to witness Alpine Joes prophesy unfolding before our very eyes !

And he's still on target! teignmouth54 are you planning any humble pie eating if we do save ourselves! I will be delighted to eat my words if Torquay avoid relegation to the National League South. At the time of my posting things were at an all time low with Torquay next to bottom of the National League with only 2 wins in 15 matches under Kevin Nicholson’s management. We lost the next game away to Tranmere Rovers before embarking on our current unbeaten run of 8 league matches. Nicholson has brought in some useful players and I believe he has been wise to step down from playing in order to concentrate on management. The unbeaten run does include matches against each of the bottom 4 sides but it is results that count and we have kept 4 successive clean sheets. The next match away to Dover will provide a stern test and a draw would be a fine achievement. I am not a doom-monger and the last thing I want is for Torquay to be relegated. However, there are still nine games to go and as we are only one point above the relegation zone we must not be complacent.

Kevin hasn't quite kept to plan with the home wins but the away ones have helped and we're nearly over the line now. I'm not counting any chickens yet but I presume that the humble pie is ready to go into the oven in a number of households.

Outstanding turnaround over the past three months, although I'm sure some folk would have him nailed to the cross come what may

Maybe legend Kev can host a humble pie evening for those fans after the last home game but with jam ON TOP in the Devon way.
Still work to do but as relegation battles go, head and shoulders above the Knill effort in 2013 and Buckle in 2010. In fact, 12 points from safety in February takes some beating period!
