After the upheavals of the last few days, we have another home game against one of the few teams below us still in the table! The team has played well in fits and starts and while Boreham Wood will be licking their lips at the prospect of three easy points, a big performance is necessary, particularly in defence where the defensive shortcomings were exposed in a big way on Saturday. Due to injuries, suspensions and the size of the squad, not too many changes can be brought in but will be interesting to see which keeper is played!
Boreham Wood have lost their last five games on the trot and while they haven't been walloped in the way we were on Saturday, will be short of confidence themselves. They have brought in a teenage striker on loan from Luton and their top scorer is Crawford with three to his name so far. However, their best result was a 0-2 away win at Tranmere so will not be a push over and literally anything can happen the way we are playing at the moment!

I would like to think with Marsh and either Fisher or Quigley up front, we could outscore them. Probably more a case of fingers crossed though

Please can we try a 4:4:2 tonight! Otherwise, we will have such a goals against record at the end of this season that it's unlikely it will ever be beaten!
I think we can thank our lucky stars that the gate tonight is going to be supplemented by our Plymouth and Exeter brethren which should take the gate to around the 1800 mark. Who knows, they might even like what they see and come back every home game...
I see the worlds press is still on tenterhooks awaiting the press conference of our ex manager...Cox! I added his name because we've had so many bloody managers of late! Other sites are already saying how crap he was and has left us with all his dross!
Will Ramshaw put his name in the hat for the managers job ~ will Hargreaves return ~ will even Cox return ~ will I ever have sex again!

Ramshaw distanced himself from Saturday's team and performance so tonight is his acid test. He's had the squad since that game so tonight's tactics and team selection (within the constraints mentioned already) will be down to him. As for him taking over permanently, economics may have made that decision already. Welcome to John Ramshaw!

You may get your wish Reg. I can see Berry slotting in at RB & Hurst as right winger. McD, Smith (or possibly the new guy on loan) & Butler make up the rest of the back 4 with Shep on the left wing. Marsh surely has to play with either Fisher or Quigley alongside. Bell plus either Carmichael or Fenwick in the middle and jobs a good un...

When the match finished it had the feel that we had just been relegated.

When the match finished it had the feel that we had just been relegated. I can really relate to that. When I checked the score tonight and saw that we had dropped into the relegation zone it felt like my 50 years of being a supporter was about to unravel. I know it's early days yet with ¾ or so of the season left but for the first time ever I don't have the belief we can turn it around. Oh, how I hope I am wrong.

We have a guy who couldn't get a regular game in the Conference South, yet is deemed good enough for the Conference National, was Lavelle-Moore (out warming up) or Quigley (has he gone back)playing instead. Why not throw on a third sub and go for broke to get the draw.
Many thanks to all the Argyle fans who came, sorry you saw such drivel.

Echo the thanks to the many Argyle fans and other supporters who turned up last night. Made for a good atmosphere and was quite humbling, especially as so few of our own fans bothered. Can't help feeling that from now on Exeter and Argyle will be rivals to us in the same way that Dagenham & Redbridge could be described as rivals of West Ham.
Out of interest, Fergus Bell was on the 22.38 from Torre to Exeter last night. I don't think it was a Christian Gross style man of the people statement. He doesn't know who the new boss is, so who is signing him, Berry and Hickford is anyone's guess.

Both the 'worldly' free kicks from which BW scored were cheap and should not have been given away in the first place.

And both seemed to go through or under the wall, not exactly "worldy" in my eyes.
