I have just come across a pretty shocking website article which includes questions about whether Robin Stubbs' is queer or takes drugs, or if there are any death rumours about him. Who on earth could have written this rubbish about such a decent man and club legend? www.vipfaq.com/Robin%20Stubbs.htmlFor me, this is quite shocking and unjustified, and I was wondering if any of the technological wizards who run our site knew of a way to have it removed.

stewart I remember someone starting a thread entitled ‘Alpine Joe’ that set him up as something akin to a zoo exhibit whereby people could drag up favoured old insults such as is he ‘ill’, is he ‘Hitlers love child’, and question ‘why this person's views are not met with the derision which they deserve’. Who on earth could have started this public thread about such a decent man and TFF legend ? I wondered. For me this was quite shocking and unjustified But just as is the case with the owners and Administrators of the vipfaq.com site, probable offence and discomfort caused to either the subject or an admirer of his, would not be allowed to deny the free expression of opinions by those who might wish to express derogatory views or read critical post made by others. And it’s the TFF Administrators resoluteness in not caving to demands for politically correct terminology or passively complying with the wishes of the whining virtual signalling ‘Offence’ claimers, that benefit both you along with the rest of us, Stewart. There’s many a Forum where Hard Left speech monitors, ever conscious to appease the LGBTQ Lobby, have gained Administrative positions, and would have stamped on your decision to replace ‘Gay’ and use your own choice of ‘Queer’ straight away. Long may TFF hold out against it. link - Are You A 'G' Or A 'Q' ?That’s not to say we should abuse this latitude by ignoring the plethora of acronyms currently in use. And while most of us recognise the more well known ones such as 'TM' for TUST Militant, It’s incumbent upon us all to check if we’re not sure. link - LGBT or LGBTQ ?Don’t just assume ‘Fabglitter’ refers to a TUST tracksuit designed specifically for girls. As the article states, if you don’t know what it means, don’t be afraid to ask. Let’s remain free to ask the awkward questions about Boris Johnson, Robin Stubbs, TUST, Joe Biden, Alpine Joe, or Clarke Osborne while we’re still allowed to, and before ‘offence’ or claims to have a Bulgarian grandfather, are enough to have a discussion closed down.

What a transformation it has been for Kieffer Moore. Unable to even secure a place in the Forest Green starting eleven before a loan move to Plainmoor, where he was set on the right track by the man who is currently Head of Coaching at Exeter City. Kieffer thrived during his short spell with The Gulls, his game, his confidence, and his ability to find the back of the net all transformed by King Kev's astute coaching and man management. The result being that today, as so many players look around a barren football landscape, worrying that they'll find no employment in the professional game at all next season, Kieffer by contrast seems to have most of the Championship lining up to offer him terms for the new season. As LancashireLive reports today: Middlesbrough have reportedly hijacked Cardiff City’s attempts to sign Kieffer Moore as Neil Warnock looks to beat his old side to the striker. According to Wales Online, the Wigan frontman is Bluebirds boss Neil Harris’ number one target this summer, although Cardiff are said to still have ground to make up on personal terms with Moore.
And that has seemingly opened the door for Warnock, who has made an 11th hour bid to try and tempt Moore to Middlesbrough, according to the Northern Echo. It’s now thought to be a straight choice between Boro and Cardiff for Moore, who has also attracted interest from Stoke, Derby, Preston and QPR.

Hopefully those supporters are pleased that Kieffer is now a Bluebird rather than a Swan. An undisclosed fee, with Press speculation that it's a little under the £2 million mark. Hopefully Kieffer will have the good grace to send a significant chunk of his considerable signing on fee to King Kev who resurrected the big forward's stalling career.

Can’t quite put my finger on a name but think I know him....
Talking about ex players, another decent forward Sillsy is interviewed on the yellow army podcast today, well worth a listen, talked through that header, possibly my best moment at a match following Torquay. Nice to hear his son is a fan of our club as well.

Who was it on this site that championed Mr Moore? The name escapes me? I did think that when Alpine was banging on about the role of King Kev, but dismissed it as Alpine is not known for 100% accuracy and of course often posts to get a reaction which he got! Spotting that a forward playing for Paignton Saints is a potential top professional player is talent spotting at it's best and I would venture a guess that it is a bigger coup than many professional football scouts have achieved. All King Kev had to do when given a local player to try out was get him to fit in to his system. Moore is a natural so would have done it anyway and so made the manager look good. Well, maybe not that good!

I hadn't anticipated that Part Two in the 'I Owe It All To King Kev' series, would be following along so soon, but with Cap'n Angus moving to Rotherham, it's proved necessary. A little hotheaded on occasions, and with some deficiencies in his game that needed ironing out, Angus was transformed into an outstanding and reliable defender by Kev's coaching, and further benefited by his latent leadership qualities being recognised and brought to the fore by the perceptive Nicholson. The same good judgement of character that enabled Kev to conclude that James Hurst, who I believe more recently took offence at some white Police officers in Scotland not immediately falling to their knees in his presence, and declaring that all Scots were his slaves .... (going by memory, I think that's roughly accurate) was a thorough nuisance who was dragging the rest of the squad down, and who needed to be got shot of for the good of the club. Again relying on memory, but didn't King Kev also get Cap'n Angus to sign a new contract with us, so that when he left us a few weeks later for Barnsley, the club would get a decent transfer fee for him, rather than waving goodbye to an out of contract Angus move north as a free agent ? And still the Nicholson statue hasn't materialised outside of Plainmoor .... if Kev was black you know it would have been erected, and illuminated at night by soft blue and yellow lighting, long before now. But getting back to Angus, and he's clearly happily settled up and around the Yorshire region. Some very serious health issues, not helped by an excess of tattooists ink in the blood I shouldn't wonder, have hampered his progress, but it's great to see him fit and eager to continue playing at a decent standard. Why not cheer on Cap'n Angus this coming season, by delaying your trip to kneel in front of the partially TUST funded statue at Home Park, so as to combine it with the Argyle v Rotherham game, assuming there's no clash of home fixtures with the Gulls ? Good luck at your new club, Angus.

Good point, gullone. My not having the first idea which clubs were promoted from League One at the end of the strange on/off season we've just endured, at least brings the nice surprise that Cap'n Angus will be playing at an even higher level than I was imagining, as I eventually learn of Rotherham's promotion. And as you imply, we don't want Argyle rushing into another promotion anytime soon.
