Mad to think that barely a month after that good away win against one of the bigger clubs in this division we host them in the return leg only a third of the way in the season! We were bang in form a month ago and 7 wins in 11 suggests we are doing OK while three losses in the last four suggests we are not. However, red cards did for us in tight matches against Telford and Forest Green and suspensions left us hopelessly exposed at the back last week so the underlying picture is probably more positive than many are feeling right now, particularly as we seem to be stronger at home!
Grimsby have had indifferent form since playing us and remain in mid table although they did beat Wrexham on their own patch last week. They have signed two players on loan since we played them with York defender Daniel Parslow and Barnsley striker Rhys Oats coming in but on the downside, defender Shaun Pearson is suspended and Craig Clay remains an injury doubt. Pittman is now fit but probably won't be rushed back. Top scorers to watch out for are John Lewis and Neilson with five each!
I think it will be back to basics with the starting XI pairing Richards and Young in midfield with Downes and McDonald possibly resuming their partnership in defence. Briscoe is probably more suited in attack and hope he plays up front as he is on a rich vein of form there which gives us more options in the striking department and leaves Chappell, Cameron and Ajala to compete on the wings. Not sure if Ives is back in contention but still no news of any contract?

A first 'double' of the season would be just what the doctor ordered. COYG!

John Lewis scored against the run of play, yellow for Tonge and fifth yellow for Young who then scores from a free kick before Didley regains the lead, three good penalty shouts for us as well - bad one to miss...

Pity, sounds like we didn't take our chances in the first half which is where the game was lost. Still scoring but will be interested to hear about our defensive frailties?
