I think quite a few people will be surprised today with the team selection, one thing I will say about knill is he is consistent.... He doesn't give a toss who he upsets and just seems to roll the dice in his team selections and doesn't even know what his best team is.

That sounds curious and we've got another 6 hours before we find out today's team. I think it's got to the stage where Knill does have plenty of options with 3 decent loanees coming in and Mozika. I saw a marked improvement against Portsmouth last week which for the first time this season gives me hope for this season. But it's time we started to pick up some points and hopefully have a FA Cup run to kick start this season. If results don't pick up in the next few weeks surely then is the time to seriously question Alan Kniil's decisions as he now has had enough time to mould HIS team with HIS way of playing. Heres hoping...

I'm sure you could have levelled the same observation 2 years ago when Ling was trying different players and tweaking the formation after 8 games without a win.
Various posters here and elsewhere had been holding up AFCW as a team that changed a lot of players but gelled straight away. You look at them now and see the manager and players saying it takes time to build a new team/time to gell etc.
As Rags pointed out, the manager was always going to give the starting squad 10 games before he started looking at swapping out players etc. Are we now going to slag him off for trying something different when the existing plan hasnt seen much success?

Yes, sounds intriguing supergulls!
Actually, take out injuries and not too many changes have taken place although any manager may want to change the set up as Ling did so well two years ago. So what has changed this season?
Defence: Nico has been dropped for 1 game before injuries forced his hand.
Centre mid: Lathrope and Craig tried before McCourt came in after Harding was injured.
Wing: Bodin moved to the hole for 1 game before injury.
Forward: Ball tried for his initial loan with Azeez, Bodin and McCullum all partnering Hawley since.

Didn't see that coming. Bit odd that he seems to have left out players who had been performing OK in Pearce and Hawley. Benyon deserves a crack at it but he has to give him a run and maybe just giving Pearce a rest after his recent health issues. Four loans start though does that tell you something? Good to see Downes back I just hope he's up to speed.
