Commentary team going on about Bodin in the free role. Surely he will play wide as he did for the five minutes after Craig came on on Saturday. Yes. It has now dawned on them.

Next two away games Bury and Accrington.
Is it too early to have a "must win" match?

We just avoided going into the bottom 2 thanks to Northampton's late capitulation. Says a lot that we're celebrating a rival slipping up in October
We're in real trouble now. Sounds like a poor second half performance. Judging by the reports I'm seeing, the atmosphere in the away end was beginning to get a bit toxic by the end. For all the board's patience and lack of resources, I do wonder how long this can continue for. 5 games without a win, as bad as it got under Ling - if he genuinely was sacked for "footballing reasons"...
Portsmouth will be fresh on Saturday after their game tonight was abandoned at half time. The Bury, Accrington and Plymouth games coming up are huge - potential relegation six-pointers already

Really disappointed (again), at 0-0 at half time I began to think we may get something. This really is an alarming run we are on now, apart from the two at Wycombe, we just seem incapable of scoring. I will read with interest any reports from those who were there. We just need a win from somewhere, somehow to arrest this slide before a defeatist and losing mentality sets in for good both in the squad and the club in general. This will take a big big effort from Knill and the boys to turn this around. Have they got it in them to do so??

What an awful month this has been just a single point from a dour performance against Mansfield and yet another "one half wonder" performance where the opposition just needed to raise there game slightly and we collapse accordingly. Even against a poor Mansfield side I thought that if they just upped a gear we were there for the taking. When I look back to the very start of the season it was pretty obvious we were going to struggle and so it has proved. This is not a good situation for the club the fans or Alan Knill and the pressure will just get even more intense as the excuses will no doubt become more bizarre. No option but to stick with the manager no matter what we as supporters may feel about signings, tactics etc so we must all try and temper our frustrations and go with the flow. We simply have no choice the foundations for the performances and results were laid back in July and August.
Mentally preparing myself for Conference football.

Weather not too good rather wet and windy, but hopefully will clear later. 21 C here right now with people walking around in shorts. I fancy a 1-1 draw this evening. Does anybody know where Danny Stevens and Lloyd Macklin are at this season? Lloydy is at Farnborough in the BSS Danny is.....MaccyDs maybe?

Well it really is difficult to know where to begin. If there was some music it would have been like musical chairs, when the music stops you're playing in a different position. Our new man seemed to have been everywhere except in goal!!!!!
We started quite well and our two centre backs appeared to be holding their own. Others I'm not too sure about. Hawley was in midfield then at the back and at times up front! I really failed to see what if any formation we were playing.
At half time I thought we had done well. Rice had dealt with the occasional lapse by the defence. We had one good effort at goal which flew past the post. They didn't look that good.
We lost Bodin to a nasty looking knock during the first half and rather surprisingly our new man came on.
The second half was so different. We looked lost. A team who hardly knew each other.
I am not blaming the players as their has appeared to have been little consistency in previous games.
Rice kept us in the game for as long as possible, but eventually they broke through twice and scored on both occasions.
Substitutions were made but changed little. Benyon came on, went up front and our new man went back to midfield!
It's all looking a bit worrying. It was hard to fault any of the players as I was really feeling a bit sorry for them.
If we are goping to have any success this season we need to have a stable team of players who know what their role is.
A disappointing night, although all is not yet lost.
Not sure why Howe was missing altogether.
And of course the ref was awful. Gave some totally bizare decisions, especially the booking of Mansell who went for a 50 - 50 ball with the goalkeeper who decided he would roll about on the floor!!!!
Would have put this on earlier but return journey took much longer due to many of the main roads being closed!!!!

Anyone seen the current League table? I think we would be more than happy if that was our position at the end of the season.

The next game I will be able to watch is at Bristol Rovers on the 12th April, this is beginning to look like a "6-pointer" already!

I uploaded the highlights to Burton. It seems like we have some good players, but they cannot play well as team. This is a sign of poor management in my opinion. Another point is that Knill's contacts are from the north. These players may find it easy to settle in Bury but for Torquay it is a different matter. www.youtube.com/channel/UCq3K8LF3WmUn0CxQ5XS2s8Q/videos

We simply don't have good players! There are one or two who are acceptable but several of the squad are, frankly, not good enough to play League football. Burton hammered us (I agree with Geddington Gull's points) in the second half and played some neat one-touch football whilst our players seemd incapable of passing the ball anywhere near a team mate. The result was that Adebayo Azeez, hard as he tried, was continually chasing the ball with very little chance of getting anywhere near it because it was always played (a) straight on the head of Burton's centre half and captain Ian Sharps (b) down the throats of one of his other defenders or (c) into the crowd. Controlling the ball and passing it to a team mate are fundamentals which seem beyond half the team. I might also add that having the gumption not to shoot from 45 yards, not to boot the ball into touch when it was going out for our throw in anyway or not to waste a free kick by hammering it straight out for a goal kick would be a useful attribute. I could have gone to see the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment last night. Why, oh why did I go and watch the Gulls instead?
