Well, we did the unexpected in the Ian Atkins season (2005-6)when we spoiled the planned celebrations up at Carlisle. They were prepared for a party as they fully expected to defeat us to clinch the league (they had already achieved automatic promotion) but we burst their bubble and they had to wait a little longer. That was a particularly happy drive home!
Carlisle were a strong side that year and we were teetering on the brink - lots of similarities with today. They had beaten us 4-3 at Plainmoor in November and on the day we were joint bottom with Rushden and Diamonds (45 points from 43 games), whilst they had such a superior goal difference that they could not be caught by Northampton provided they beat us.
I shall always remember how their fans invaded the pitch at the end and came towards us . . . . applauding our team's performance, as we applauded their success.
I just hope that those who have made the trip will experience a similar celebratory journey back home.

Quite a shake-up and I'm pleased Knill has gone for experience in Downes, Nicholson and Morris. Interesting that Jarvis and Benyon not starting and Macklin not even on the bench. We've survived the first 10 minutes by the way.

That seemed to have been a very good first half performance!
0-0, time for my halftime beer!

Argyle winning 1 nil York winning 1 nil Lose this one and the results stay as they are - we're in the bottom two. Bugger.......

Double substitution Benyon, Jarvis on Lathrope, Chappell off. We need to get a goal from somewhere, listening to the commentary that does not sound very likely. At least it's only 1-0 down. Plymouth virtually safe now at 2-0 up.
