I was thinking more in terms of relative levels of ability of the players and lack of money. Bury are/were/will be quite a "big" club for League Two and have always had money to spend. Honestly, take out history and I think we're punching above our weight just to remain in the Football League at the moment Bury would find it relatively easy to get loan players in from northern clubs. Honestly, take out history and I think we're punching above our weight just to remain in the Football League at the moment Over the last ten or so seasons, their status has been remarkably similar to ours with the exception of not spending time in the conference. Their average crowds (and therefore income) are also very similar, think along the lines of a difference of around 50 over the last 10 league seasons. If that makes them a "big club" for L2 then that would make us a "almost but just not quite as big" as them, and if we're punching above our weight, what does that mean the likes of Accy, Daggers and Morecambe are doing?? |

We have to scrape the bottom of the barrel Indeed Stu, and when you consider how many other L1 clubs are within, say, a 2 hour drive of Bury (meaning more local(ish) matches), their crowd levels are suprisingly low, even given the proximity of PL clubs around them. |

i dont think it matters a hoot who we had as manager this lot cant manage a performance anyway,at least 5 signings would have to be made NOW and that isnt going to happen so we know the outcome,apart from benyon and labadie the other one we looked at was logan,what a joke
