Well, there's certainly Hunter's Bar and Cowlishaw Road/Junction Road in there. But where does that giraffe live?

Clogging up the website with pictures of northern towns. How dare you! Good point, well made Barton.

Wildebeeste beat me to it - Barton's second shot is indeed the junction of Junctin Road and Cowlishaw Road, just around the corner from my home some 30 or so years ago in Psalter Lane. Sadly, that is the only picture from either set that I can accurately identify although I, for one, agree wholeheartedly with the thread title.

And that scruffy student house on the corner of Junction Road and Cowlishaw Road was where I lived between 1975 and 1977.
The first picture is taken from the top of Nether Edge Road; the one looking uphill is Hunter House Road.
The giraffe, the art and the barber are all on Sharrow Vale Road.

Bloody hell, Wildebeeste, what's this then? Clogging up the website with pictures of northern towns. How dare you! Clog up the forum all you want as I know so many enjoy seeing these pictures. On another note can I please ask that members putting up photos set the up load size on photo-bucket etc to 800x600. A number of recent photos are too large and stretch out the forum until the re size code can kick in and reduce them. If you see anything written about any pictures you have put up such as " this image has been reduced by x number of %, then you are uploading them to large on the site you are using. Many thanks Dave

Many thanks Dave I had trouble with Photobucket insisting I use their new version which I found a pain. It now allows me to continue using the older version. This had an impact on some of the pictures I posted recently.

Aye, it's Photobucket that's to blame, Dave, and now I can't work out how to make my pictures smaller again. Be that as it may here is another for Barton, Joe, Ricardo and anyone else with a fondness for Sheffield:
