A few months ago I paid for and secured our custom domain www.torquayfansforum.com Yesterday I paid the required fees to Probards so we can use our custom domain for the next three years. At the end of the month of January, I will be changing over to the new proboard v5 version software and this software has been on test for a good long time now and should not have any problems as such. There will be a number of new features with this software and I will update you all on those later. I am expecting some issues as the codes used on the TFF were all written for the software we are using now, some might not work in the future, while some might just cause a few issues. Once the new software is up and running I will check to make sure everything is OK, some codes may have to be removed until I can find new ones. If when the change is made you find any problems, then please post them on this thread so we all know what they are and I can then try and sort them out. Happy new year to you all Dave

The forum software has been updated but will be worked on during the day to make some changes to try and get the forum looking like it did before. It might go down for short periods during the day. Sorry in advance it that happens.

(sorry if im being blind) Cheers Not a lover of change myself and its even worse for me being that much older but all proboard forums will have to use this software by the time April comes around, so useing it now wll give us plenty of time to get everything sorted out. In the post window you will see a smily on the end, just click that one and a drop down menu will appear. I have changed all the proboard ones to the ones we have always used on here. Sorry no button for the last 75 posts yet, the old code that allowed me to add one does not work and I can't as yet find a way to add one, but as soon as I can I will add it. You can view the last 100 posts by clicking the link near the bottom of the page, rather madly it puts the posts into pages and once again I will try and find a way to change this. As the software is new, its going to be a little while before new codes are written for it, I will keep my eye out for new codes and add them if they are ones that can give us back some of the things we seem to be missing. all the best Dave

good effort Dave getting this to work. one little thing for me that i use all the time is "marked as read". I just like to keep things tidy and only see "new" stuff and therefore need to mark things as read.

not quite what i was after Dave. you could do it in each thread. for example i do not participate in the "competitions room" and like to just mark them as read, not the whole lot

I've been having mega problems with this over the weekend as my home computer really doesn't like the upgrade and haven't been able to post! Now that I've seen the screen for the first time as it should do, it is something that I think should be able to get used to quite quickly....

It looks good. Only thing I would say is I don't like the way the word for sticking the ball in the back of the net turns into a smiley. Makes it quite difficult to read
Cheers
