This match is at least as important as them I would say. I feel if we got promotion this season, now with the excellent consortium, we could gain real momentum. It might be pushing it to do an Exeter, but I think we would give a good account of ourselves in league 2. Lose and next season's BSP looks even more difficult and we could be there for a long time.
Sadly it looks unlikely I will be at Wembley next week. This might be a good omen. I have missed other biggies like Southend and Barnet when we were successful. Our Wembley record isn't great to date and I've seen them all so far.
Saying that, I've feel I've done my bit for the club in recent weeks by buying my first ever season ticket, and having my son's 10th birthday party at TUFC. My finances are therefore a little tight. I just hope more people will do their bit for the club in the Torbay area, however small. It's the least the club deserves.
Swangull, just looking at your sentence of where this game ranks, to me its as big as any game we have been in. To be challenging for promotion two for consecutive season is a minor miracle in itself to do it three seasons in a row would be quite miraculous. With the quality of the opposition ever improving and the percentage of of ex established league clubs ever increasing the task will become more and more difficult as seasons pass.
The Conference table will look like an old football league one next season and the competition for that elusive single automatic spot will be even greater. My main concern is that if we do happen to miss out after so much effort over the last two seasons the core of the squad will break up and we will do a York or Oxford and have to start to build again from the bottom up.
