I'm sure hearing fans singing we want woodies back may have wound him up a little and I'm also sure he may have had a few things shouted to him from those near the dugouts.
I do think its not the time to start making remarks and having digs at fans, gates are poor and the home form not that good and not that entertaining, its an easy way to knock more of the gate, far better to look for the real reasons out on the pitch for the answers why fans failed to make much noise tonight.
We listened to the interview on the way home. My daughter thought we were being told off, a bit like her headmaster does when the school has done something wrong.
I have to say i did agree with him,it was just the way he put it across that will have wound people up. Some in the crowd were 'moaning' and shouting of abuse after about 5 minutes. There was very little support all night. Whilst I appreciate that the team did little after the first 20 minutes to raise spirits, but isn't the point of the home crowd to try and help raise the team? by supporting them, not deriding them.
Buckle must be glad that we have more away games than home ones left, even the players look more relaxed away from home.
Not only has he sung the praises of the fans after the last few away games, but after the Northwich & Altrincham games he encouraged the players to come right over to the away fans to show their appreciation. I appreciate that we did win both of those games and some will argue that he only did it because of that.
