I am currently beginning to collect ALL programmes home and away and would like some info if anyone can help.
Can anyone give me a list of ALL TUFC games home (PLUS Friendlies) cup and league please for 1984/85
If freindlies can people let me know if a programme was issued. Perhaps a stupid question but i, wanting a complete collection. Equally if there were any posponements WERE the programmes reused or new one. Any help kindly appreciated. I want to collect the away ones to but AFTRWARDS... though NOTE: If DO let me know if we had any away friendlies and if prog was issued. Also any Devon Bowl, Associate Members.... basically ALL games and a Issue or not lol
If anyone has any doubles or wants to sell any from that season... not many pennies spare but let me know.

*Though I can't see that there would have been: Any Torquay first team games played at a neutral ground that season and if a programme was issues.
Even if you do not have the programme info - please do complete my LIST of games if you know any of the above.

I have the Brixham game down as Brixham Trawler Fishermen's XI. A planned PSF at home to Plymouth Argyle on 21 August was called off. A private practice game against Kingsteignton (again!) was played instead. There were friendlies at Saltash 25/9/84 and at Kingsteignton (yet again!) on 17/10/84 - but with "reserve strength" teams. There were closed door friendlies at Plymouth Argyle on 6/2/85 and at home to Saltash 20/2/85. I don't know, but would not think any of teh above had programmes. Finally, we played Exeter City in the Devon Bowl at SJP on 29/4/85 - almost certainly a programme for that. |

Jon, great stuff. That is a fantastic info. Was the private Kingsteignton game at home or away by the way?
Stat wise, do either of you have scores for any, apart from the two 14-0?

Superb, thats pretty much the info stats filled in for that year! Thanks so much once again. Though I guess one more thing: Do we know of any postponements in the competitive season and whether rearranged had new/re isssues? Sorry for all the questions!

A crowd of more than 400 attended the game and the money raised will go to the installation of two seats on the Brixham fish key in memory of Mark Tyler and Mark Lane the young fishermen who were lost at sea recently. I think this may have been my first ever trip into Brixham and found it bloody hard to locate Wall Park. Its a rare occasion when we send a team into Brixham so im glad i did this one. I remember John Sims getting a run out and i kid you not a 30 yard screamer into the top corner from Micky Perry. Entertaining stuff on a spring evening refereed by Mr Alan merse And a nice little 4 page homespun admmision programme that is now as rare as rocking horse .... |
